Student Adviser
To market, build and promote the brand image of the institution with the objective of increasing the student numbers by providing exceptional customer service to all students.
Using sales and marketing techniques and networking to attract students and developing a good understanding if students. B2B and B2C and Seta.
Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone queries, e-mails, faxes and walk in students.
- Calling of databases and recording responses.
- Follow the relevant procedure to ensure the speedy registration of students by producing the relevant acceptance letters and Proforma invoice when admitted to study.
- Capture student information on MIS and complete hard copy and file in appropriate files.
- File the records in the appropriate files.
- Re-direct queries to the appropriate divisions and follow through to ensure that the query has been attended to.
- Assist with bulk posting of prospectuses when needed to do so.
- Assist with mail merge letters to new and potential students.
- Promoting the brand through fieldwork.
- Advise students towards the most appropriate course.
- Ensure that the acceptance criteria have been met.
- Ensure that any outstanding fees are cleared before registration.
- Collection of all clear and certified documents.
- Apply the finance policy for acceptance of students who have outstanding fees.
- Follow all policy and procedures as laid down by the institution.
- Check the status of the student, (passed/failed) and advise accordingly.
- Follow the registration process once criteria have been met.
- Ensure all targets are met as received.
- Promote the brand.
- Answer any questions/queries from scholars interested in attending the institution.
- Assisting the student advisor with walk-ins and calls.
- Create innovative marketing platforms for the brand.
- Keeps ahead of trends regarding tertiary education.
- Attending to Corporate visits to promote interest in the brand and recruit students.
- Attending career expo’s and conducting career presentations occasionally.
- Compile Feedback Reports and ensure that it is correct and delivered on time.
- General Sales and Office Administration and Filing.
- Assisting with functions.
- Managing the switchboard.
- Reception handling and front desk management.
- Responsible for all front office operations (attendance registers, courier records, etc)
- Attend to walk in clients, guests, and students.
- Managing and assisting with arrangements for client visits and meetings.
- Maintain proper checklists related to housekeeping activities to ensure upkeep of the office.
- General housekeeping, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- General office administration manages the front office desk, meeting and greeting of guests, customers, and vendors.
- Arranging and booking of boardrooms, preparation of meetings and conference telephone calls.
Requirements
- Matric plus Related Diploma
- 2-3 years general administration/sales/marketing
- Educational Institution and advantage
- Valid driver’s license
