Our client in Durban is looking for a SHE Coordinator to identify and eliminate all potential risks in the workplace.
 
Requirements:
  • SAMTRAC
  • Formal Safety Management Diploma.
  • 5 years’ Experience preferably in a Manufacturing Environment
 
SHE Policies and Procedures:
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of SHE Policies and Procedures
  • Operate according to standard operating procedures and within the parameters of applicable legislation
 
SHE Management:
  • Implement and maintain adherence to safe working practices and policies
  • Monitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace
  • Maintain health, safety and security standards are maintained at all times
  • Conduct Planned Task Observations and take appropriate action to address identified risks
  • Conduct incident investigations and RCA
  • Coordinate emergency evacuation drills
 
SHE Management System:
  • Comply with the requirements of the SHE Management system
  • Implement and manage ISO 14 000 environmental standards
  • Implement and manage ISO 45 000 H&S standards
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements
 
SHE Audits:
  • Conduct SHE Audits
  • Risk Assessments:
  • Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace
 
Emergencies:
  • Deal with safety, health and environmental emergencies
  • Incident/Accident Investigations:
  • Conduct preliminary incident investigations into workplace health, safety and environmental incidents
 
SHE Administration:
  • Maintain and update SHE Notice Boards
  • Conduct Toolbox meetings and SHE meetings
Conduct BSO’s and manage CIP’s
Security:
  • Draft and manage site security protocols
  • Oversee management of 3rd part security personal
  • Draft and manage emergency response plans
 
  • Monitor performance against budget (expense controls, variances, etc.)
  • Participate in the Audit process
  • Adhere to Financial Policies and Procedures
  • Protect company assets (working capital & fixed assets)
  • Detect and prevent fraud
  • Promote good Corporate Governance
 
Customer Relations:
  • Communicate and liaise with internal customers
 
Supplier Relations:
Liaise with suppliers
