Our client in Durban is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Systems Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience to join their growing team.
    • Implement, configure and Maintain Windows server hardware and software; and implement and maintain Active Directory structure
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures
    • Implement, configure and Maintain Office 365, Mimecast, Google Works Space
    • Understanding of Azure
    • Understanding of firewalls, managed switches, DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s, Wi-Fi
    • Understanding of virtualization
    • VoIP experience
    • Project management experience
    • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
    • Client Server infrastructure monitoring:
        • Install and configure monitoring tools
        • Monitor event logs and attending to all critical errors                                                                                                                                                               
        • Establishing error thresholds and escalation processes on monitoring tools
    • Implement and maintain business continuity plans for server infrastructure
    • System (application and data) back-ups
        • Creating a server back-up procedure
        • Back up all data
    • Client Systems / Server infrastructure support and maintenance:
        • Attend to all your support calls as logged by operations
        • Research, evaluate, install and test new software updates
        • Provide technical input into the performance standards documentation
        • Administer domain users on active directory
Essential Requirements and Skills
    • 5 years’ experience in systems administration
    • Grade 12 with MCSE, A+, N+
    • Skilled in installation, configuration and maintenance of the network infrastructure
    • Pro-active, team player and good judgement
