We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Safety Officer, to be based in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring legislative compliance as well as alignment with our corporate processes
and philosophy.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure all business unit policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to
Implement and conduct route inspections as required by ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015
Visit vessels and various work sites
Conduct risk assessments
Compile project safety files and data packs
Incident and accident investigations
Manage and co-ordinate inductions
Manage and co-ordinate toolbox talks
Co-ordinate safety meetings
Manage and undertake customer satisfaction surveys
Liaise with relevant managers to achieve legislative compliance
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum SAMTRAC qualification
NEBOSH will be an advantage
At least 5–8 years’ experience in a supervisory position
Sound verbal communication skills
Computer literacy
Valid, unendorsed driver’s
