Our client is a leading provider of accredited Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), emergency response, and technical compliance training solutions who is looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to join our team in KZN and lead our mission of making workplaces safer and more resilient.
 
As the Sales Consultant, your goal is to expand our compliance footprint and will manage the full sales lifecycle—from identifying fresh leads in high-risk industries to revitalizing dormant accounts and ensuring our long-term partners receive world-class safety training and consulting.
 
Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute creative sales strategies to exceed monthly and annual targets within the safety and compliance sector.
    • Identify and convert new clients through networking, industry research, and proactive outreach.
    • Safety Solutions Partner: Act as the primary point of contact, conducting needs assessments to provide tailored training programs—ranging from Basic Firefighting and First Aid to complex Mine Protocol and Incident Investigation.
    • Commercial Excellence: Manage the end-to-end administrative process in Sage, ensuring all quotes, proposals, and safety files are professional, accurate, and aligned with accreditation standards.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure payment terms are met and uphold our policy of "payment before certification" to maintain business health.
    • Brand Ambassador: Represent our safety-first values at industry events and through digital campaigns, ensuring quality standards are reflected in every interaction.
 
What You Bring to the Table
    • You will be a natural "people person" who is equally comfortable with technical compliance requirements and high-level sales pitches.
    • Experience: 2–3 years in a sales or client-facing role (experience in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or Training sectors is highly advantageous).
    • Proficiency in Sage systems and the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
    • Communication: You’re a natural communicator who can build trust at all levels, from HR Managers and Safety Officers to Managing Directors.
    • Drive: You are self-motivated, organized, and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Attention to Detail: You understand that accurate documentation is the backbone of safety compliance and professional service.
