Our client, a small, very well established South African FinTech that’s been delivering innovative payment and loyalty solutions to the Retail and Fuel Industries for over two decades. With a proven track record of building tailored systems for leading market players, their solutions span across Payments, Loyalty, VAS, Communications, and custom-built hardware.
 
They enjoy sustained growth, high staff retention, and a culture that values innovation and collaboration. The are entering a new period of expansion and are looking to appoint a skilled Project Manager / Business Analyst
They are located in Randburg
Salary: R40,000 – R70,000 CTC per month (depending on experience)

About the Role
They are looking for a versatile Project Manager / Business Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment. This is not a typical PM or BA role — no traditional Gantt charts or rigid specs. They need someone who can grasp the essence of a project quickly, engage with customers meaningfully, document project scope clearly, and ensure ongoing visibility and momentum across projects.
 
You’ll be the connector between clients, the team, and the broader business, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
 
Key Responsibilities
– Understand and communicate the purpose and value of each project
– Act as the key liaison between clients and internal teams
– Document project goals, scope, and key deliverables without over-defining
– Ensure progress remains on track across multiple projects
– Identify risks or blockers early and proactively manage resolution
– Maintain project visibility and accountability
– Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations
 
Ideal Candidate
– 5+ years in a blended PM/BA or client-facing project role
– Tech-savvy and comfortable working with software teams (but not a developer)
– Confident communicator who can simplify complexity
– Practical, proactive, and outcome-driven
– Able to manage multiple priorities without formal structures
– Comfortable operating with light processes and agile environments
 
What you won’t do
✖️ Create overly detailed project specs or technical documentation
✖️ Manage development teams day-to-day
✖️ Spend time on Gantt charts or process-heavy methodologies
