 As Production Manager, you will be responsible for translating high-volume manufacturing demands into high-quality edible products, ensuring that artistry meets industrial efficiency.
 
Key Requirements
The production environment involves intricate, machine-related operations combined with a large, diverse workforce.
Success in this role requires a blend of technical engineering oversight with assertive and fair leadership.
 
    • Tertiary qualifications in Production Management or Engineering are essential to troubleshoot machinery and optimize complex production lines.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in production management within the FMCG industry is required.
    • Previous experience in food production is highly preferable, as the role demands a deep understanding of food safety and hygiene.
    • Regulatory Compliance: You must have a working knowledge of HACCP, FSSC, or ISO 22000 standards to maintain global food safety certifications.
    • Effectively lead, mentor, and manage a team of over 100+ staff in the Durban region.
    • Conversational Isizulu would be advantageous but not essential

  • Operational Oversight Manage daily production to ensure efficiency, quality, and strict adherence to schedules.
  •  Team Management Foster a productive environment for 100+ employees while coordinating with Maintenance and Logistics.
  •  Compliance & Safety Enforce health and safety standards and ensure all operations meet rigorous food safety regulations.
  • Performance & Finance Monitor production metrics, implement continuous improvement, and manage budgets to optimize costs.
  • Reporting Analyze production performance and present regular data-driven reports to senior management.
