Overview
An established industrial manufacturing company seeks a hands-on Production Foreman / Supervisor for their Dimple Tube Manufacturing Facility.
 
The successful candidate will oversee production operations, staff supervision, equipment maintenance, and ensure adherence to quality control and safety standards.
This role requires a technically strong foreman with a mechanical trade background and proven plant experience—preferably from sugar mills or similar heavy manufacturing environments.
 
Key Responsibilities
    • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within the dimple tube manufacturing unit.
    • Manage and develop a small team of production staff, ensuring optimal shift performance and productivity.
    • Maintain and enforce quality control standards and operating procedures.
    • Plan and oversee routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing machinery and tooling.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, safety, and reliability.
    • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain production records, downtime reports, and shift reports.
    • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for any technical upgrades or repairs.
    • Assist with shift and weekend work planning as required by production schedules.
 
Qualifications and Experience
    • Trade-tested Fitter, Mechanical Artisan, or Mechanical Engineering qualification (National Diploma, N6, or equivalent).
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or mechanical production environments.
    • Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing production machinery and pressure-related equipment (e.g., rollers, forming units, welding lines, or tube manufacturing systems).
    • Proven supervisory or foreman-level experience leading small production teams.
    • Solid understanding of quality and safety systems (ISO standards advantageous).
    • Experience from sugar mills or similar process engineering operations highly beneficial.
