Client is okay with them not being registered professionally, anyone from 2 – 20 years of experience is good, but we have a profit-sharing scheme in our office so if the company does well the team members benefit a lot. Even if they only know wet services, or fire, I can teach them but looking for someone with more fire experience but will consider both.

They are currently seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Wet & Fire Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Wet & Fire Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing wet and fire protection systems for a range of building projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and architects to ensure that all designs meet the required standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed designs for wet and fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, and fire pumps.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, and design drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate wet and fire protection systems into overall project designs.
• Participate in project meetings and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage – not mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical wet and fire protection design – also flexible with this
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and NFPA standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
