Hospitality Manager – Durban

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-respected, Durban-based establishment with a diverse population of staff and Residents.
The role will require a mature professional person with experience and qualifications in hospitality management.
It is critical that the incumbent be able to lead their own team but also be a team player as they work closely with other members of the management team.
Key aspects of the job include, among other things:
- Managing admissions, reception, housekeeping, laundry, catering and public relations.
- Previous work experience within the Aged Care sector would be advantageous.
- Adherence to occupational health and safety act 85 of 1993 as amended
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Report potential risks and hazards to nursing service manager
Requirements
- Matric with a Hospitality qualification
- Have External Marketing or Events experience, with skills to market the Home effectively to increase occupancy
- At least 3 years previous experience in accommodation/hospitality industry
- Passion for working with older people.
- Previous experience managing budgets.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literacy.Have patience and kindness when dealing with the elderly
- Have an even temperament and be able to work with others harmoniously
- Have a proven track record of strong organisational skills and improving effieciency
- Must be able to maintain high quality standards of themselves and the team
