Job Purpose
Assisting with monthly financial results, processes, and functions, as well as annual audited financial results. This role supports the Financial Director in controlling working capital and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting with minimal supervision.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and update the age analysis daily.
- Capture supplier invoices daily, perform monthly account reconciliations, and load weekly and monthly payments.
- Distribute the outstanding debtors list weekly and produce customer statements by the second business day of the month.
- Prepare management reports by the 10th and monthly VAT returns by the 20th.
- Report call account balances and top ten customer reports to international headquarters quarterly.
- Assist with ISO Certification and BBBEE requirements.
- Manage raw materials, packaging, and airfreight spreadsheets.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 5 years in a similar position
- SAP experience is essential, along with general computer literacy.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Stay updated on refreshing accounting practices and the SARS act.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and unsupervised while maintaining team player qualities.
- High degree of honesty, responsibility, and accountability.
- Crucial ability to meet strict daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
