Our client based in Westville, Durban, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager:
 
Requirements:
  • Evaluate the regional property portfolio and develop a 5-year plan for the Regional Portfolio.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance spend against annual budgets.
  • Develop the Capex Expenditure on an annual basis and execute the expenditure within the financial period.
  • Engage with the building industry professionals, contractors and service providers.
  • Develop standard finishes schedules for the portfolio.
  • Implement Occupational Health & Safety compliance regionally based on the Safety Audits from specialists.
  • Prepare tender documents for Service providers and manage the procurement process.
  • Provide oversight on quality for maintenance related work.
  • Drive environmental and energy saving initiatives regionally.
 
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have:
  • A Quantity surveying degree or any building related degree.
 
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:
  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in Facilities Management.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and statutory regulations.
  • An understanding of utility management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working with contractors and suppliers and monitoring service standards.

Salary: R60K – R65K CTC PM
