💼 About the Opportunity

A dynamic and growing insurance brokerage in Westville is looking for a high-performing Interim Financial Analyst to join the Finance team on a 3-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified professional with completed audit articles to gain hands-on exposure in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening financial processes, supporting audit activities, and delivering insights that help drive business decisions.

 

🚀 What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

 

✅ Prepare and review detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records

✅ Document financial systems, processes, and controls across key business cycles

✅ Support the year-end external audit, including preparing schedules and liaising with auditors

✅ Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently

✅ Strengthen and monitor internal controls and compliance frameworks

✅ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

✅ Deliver insightful analysis and ad hoc financial projects to support decision-making

✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality financial data

 

 

🎯 What We’re Looking For

 

✔️ Completed audit articles (non-negotiable)

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

✔️ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

✔️ Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems

✔️ Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

✔️ High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

✔️ Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment

✔️ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
