Our client, a marketing and manufacturing company who are passionate about building sustainable brands, is looking for a Assistant Brand Manager to join their team, based in Umhlanga, Durban
 
SALARY: R 20 000 – R 25 000 negotiable depending on experience
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric with pass in Maths  – 70% or above
  • Preferred Marketing Degree or Honours degree (including Finance/Business Science grads) or IMM Diploma
  • One year of work experience is preferred OR A GRADUATE
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, comfortable working with numbers and creative artwork
  • Computer and Excel skills
  • Great team working skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Own reliable transport  
 
The desired candidate will be required to perform the following which may not be limited to:
  • Identify and quantify marketing opportunities in categories in which we operate
  • Help to develop fantastic marketing mixes to maximise these opportunities
  • Be responsible for implementing and executing the marketing mix to store-level
  • Monitor and assess the commercial success of the mix in the marketplace
  • Look for gaps in the market to exploit and grow
  • Analyse and interpret data to provide recommendations for brand development
  • Work with Research and development team to convert innovation ideas into products
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects within assigned timelines and budgets
  • Work closely with the Design team on artwork execution
  • Put together advertising and creative briefs
  • Copywriting for marketing literature
  • Closely working with the digital team on campaigns and projects

  • Someone who is meticulous and deadline-driven with a good eye for detail, yet dynamic and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to cope whilst under pressure
  • Needs to have the ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner with both internal and external interfaces and at all levels

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00 to 16h30 with an hour lunch break
