ARCHITECT LEAD – BASED ONSITE

Reports to: Engineering Managers
Purpose:
Design and deliver end-to-end software architecture for complex, multi-system initiatives, providing architectural leadership and consulting to product engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver end-to-end architecture solutions spanning multiple systems, products, and teams
- Provide architectural consulting: review designs, API specs, code changes, and documentation for cross-team impact and standards alignment
- Author and govern architectural decision records to ensure traceable, consistent design rationale
- Evaluate trade-offs across cost, scalability, feasibility, and compliance
- Coordinate multi-team solution planning during project inception
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents and contribute to post-mortem analysis
- Research emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept work
- Mentor developers on architectural thinking and design best practices
- Engage senior leadership, product, compliance, and operator partners to translate business/regulatory needs into technical solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field
- 8–10 years’ experience
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, containerisation, and event-driven integration patterns
- Proven track record designing solutions that meet performance, resilience, and regulatory requirements at scale
