Overview:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
This role involves managing IT operations, optimizing technology solutions, and ensuring seamless business continuity within a growing retail and wholesale environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in IT governance, and a proactive approach to technology management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT management, IT operations, or infrastructure support.
- Experience in the retail and/or wholesale industry is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, ERP solutions, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage IT teams and technology projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders across all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Strategy and Planning:
- Work closely with the management team to develop and implement an IT strategy that supports business goals.
- Identify technology solutions to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enable business growth.
- Define and document IT roadmaps, ensuring planned implementations align with business priorities.
- Develop and manage IT budgets for projects, operations, and system maintenance.
- Ensure all IT-related queries and issues are addressed to optimize system usage across the organization.
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management:
- Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and business applications.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement software and hardware solutions to improve business operations.
- Ensure robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems support business needs effectively.
IT Operations & Security:
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize uptime.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, and standards to maintain information security, compliance, and data integrity.
- Ensure system enhancements and upgrades follow structured planning rather than ad-hoc fixes.
- Define KPIs for IT operations and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure cost-effective IT services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand and address their technology needs.
- Define and document service level agreements (SLAs) to monitor IT service quality.
- Communicate IT project updates, system changes, and improvements to stakeholders in a structured manner.
Asset Management & IT Governance:
- Manage IT-related assets, including hardware, software, and licensing, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.
- Define and implement a structured process for asset identification, tracking, and maintenance.
- Ensure IT assets are recorded accurately in the asset register and managed efficiently.
- Support ongoing business transformation initiatives by aligning IT systems with operational goals.
