Our client, a development and property company is looking  for a Group Financial Manager,  based in Durban.
  
Job Purpose:
 
Establishment of the benchmark for Internal Control and Financial reporting
 
Educational Qualifications and Other Job Requirements
The preferred requirements of a Group Financial Manager are as follows:
 
    • Chartered Accountant (SA) – preferred but not required.
    • Minimum 5 years post-articles managerial experience.
    • 10 years experience in a property environment.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a documented system of finance policies and procedures.
  • Oversight and management of staff within the Finance department.  
  • Big picture analysis of hedging, forex exposure, local vs offshore investment and classes of assets.  
  • Oversight of certain Exco reporting.  
  • Implement consistent accounting policies and maintain internal controls.
