Our Client in Durban is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to join their Engineering Maintenance team in our Durban factory.
The Fleet Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities will cover total maintenance of all company vehicles; including:
- Perform routine inspections to ensure vehicles are road worthy and safe to use.
- Service vehicles as per maintenance schedule.
- Perform maintenance on all mechanical components of vehicle. (Engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, suspension, etc.)
- Able to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical faults.
- Basic auto electrical work (Lights, Hooters, gauges)
- Assist with repairs on manufacturing plant machinery when necessary.
Requirements
- Matric + Trade tested Motor or diesel mechanic.
- Able to work shifts.
- Have your own reliable transport.
- Experience in Repairs of motor vehicles, diesel and electric forklifts/reach trucks, light commercial vehicles.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic vehicle systems.
